Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
The short version
Wildmore Labs uses essential cookies only. We do not use analytics, advertising, social-media or other tracking cookies, and we do not track you across websites. Because we set only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is legally required under UK law — but we tell you about them here for transparency.
We also use Vercel Analytics for site-performance monitoring. Vercel Analytics does not set cookies and does not use any device storage. No consent is required under PECR for this technology.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently. Similar technologies (such as local storage) are treated the same way in this policy.
The cookies we use
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function or to keep it secure. These may include:
| Cookie / technology | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hosting / load-balancing cookie (set by Vercel) | Routes your request and keeps the site available and secure | Strictly necessary | Session |
| Anti-abuse / rate-limit token (contact form) | Protects the contact form against spam and automated abuse | Strictly necessary | Session / short-lived |
wl_cookie_dismissed (localStorage) |
Remembers that you dismissed the cookie information notice so it is not shown again | Strictly necessary / functional | Persistent (until you clear site data) |
| Vercel Analytics (no cookie set — server-side only) | Collects aggregated page-performance data (Core Web Vitals, page URL, browser/device type, country). No cookie is written to your device. | Performance monitoring — not a cookie | N/A |
We do not set: analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, social-media cookies, or any cross-site tracking identifiers.
The law — why there is no consent banner
Under Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), consent is required before storing or accessing information on a user's device — except where the cookie is "strictly necessary" for a service the user has requested (Regulation 6(4)). All of our cookies fall within that exemption, so a consent banner is not legally required. In line with ICO guidance, we instead provide clear, transparent information on this page and show a brief notice at the bottom of the site. Vercel Analytics, which we use for site-performance monitoring, does not store or access any information on your device, so it does not engage the PECR consent requirement at all.
Managing cookies
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for privacy purposes. You can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but parts of the site (such as the contact form) may not work correctly if you do.
Changes
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and put a proper consent mechanism in place before any such cookie is set. See our Privacy Notice for how we handle personal data, and contact privacy@wildmorelabs.com with any questions.
